Batch Furnace (Heavy Duty Applications)
Therser Wellman supply both gas-fired and electrically heated batch furnaces, suitable for a wide range of industrial applications and over any load size requirements.
Batch furnaces typically utilise a static dense refractory hearth for loading and positioning of the product/part via a secondary, external loading means. i.e a rail bound charge car or mobile manipulating machine.
This furnace hearth could be flat or include raised refractory piers for support of the product and to allow ease of loading and unloading by raising the product above the piers prior to removal.
Our Heavy Duty type batch processing furnaces are suitable for large scale component heat treatment and raw material heat treatment, such as, slab, billet, plate, rod, tube and profiles. Subsequently many high temperature forging re-heat furnaces follow this type of furnace layout/specification.
In these types of applications, along with the furnaces, we can also supply automated loading, charge cars and quenching as part of a complete processing line.
All of our robust and energy efficient furnace designs would be built around your process requirements/needs to give a solution tailored to getting the best out of your process.
